One warranty engine, live across North America and India, ending disputes with dealers
Garware Hi-Tech Films Limited (GHFL) — a global manufacturer of window films, paint protection films, and specialty polymer films — was seeing disputes with its dealer network over warranty claims and billing, with no documented, timestamped record of when a product was registered. Nanostuffs built E-Warranty — live in North America and India on Salesforce Experience Cloud — giving dealers a self-service portal where every registration and warranty is generated and time-stamped automatically, creating the audit trail both sides can rely on.
Every warranty dispute used to come down to GHFL's word against a dealer's, with no shared record of who registered what, when. Now the portal generates that record the moment a dealer submits the form.

Warranty disputes with no documented trail to settle them
GHFL sells through a dealer network spanning North America and India. When a dealer installs paint protection film or window film and a warranty question comes up months or years later, resolving it depends on knowing exactly when and how that product was registered. Without a documented, timestamped system for that, GHFL and its dealers were left disputing the details — a claim GHFL couldn't verify, or a dealer who couldn't prove they'd registered on time.
Before Experience Cloud, product registration and warranty confirmation ran through email and phone calls, matched manually against internal records. That's slow at any scale, and every dispute that couldn't be resolved cleanly cost GHFL time, goodwill with its dealer network, and in some cases money.
The bar wasn't just "build a portal" — it was "build a system that produces a timestamped, auditable record the moment a dealer registers a product," so disputes have a clear record to settle them instead of becoming a back-and-forth.

Why Experience Cloud was the right core for a multi-region audit trail
GHFL's problem wasn't really "we need a website" — it was "dealers in two regions need self-service warranty registration that produces a documented, timestamped record every single time, without two separate systems drifting apart." That's exactly what Experience Cloud is built for: external-facing portals that sit on top of your existing Salesforce org, governed by the same sharing rules and data model, instead of separate regional systems kept in sync by hand.
Nanostuffs used Experience Cloud's native licensing and configuration model to run North America and India on the same underlying warranty and product objects — configuring rather than duplicating wherever Salesforce's native capabilities covered the requirement, and reserving custom engineering for the parts specific to GHFL's process and its SAP integration.
What Salesforce Experience Cloud handles natively
- Configuration-driven flows that let both regions share a data model while running region-specific business logic
- Self-registration and login flows for external users, without building a separate identity system
- Built-in case and request objects for warranty and support tracking, tied directly to the same data internal teams use, with a timestamp on every record
Where custom engineering was needed
Experience Cloud's out-of-the-box components weren't enough for the specific product-registration workflow or for keeping the portal in step with GHFL's SAP system — which is where custom Salesforce development came in. Customer records flow from Salesforce to SAP, while material masters, product variants, inventory, billing documents, and warranty roll data flow back from SAP to Salesforce, along with sales orders and payment data moving both directions — so dealers are always registering against live, current product and order information.

Experience CloudTurning "he said, she said" into a timestamped record
The disputes GHFL faced weren't abstract — they were real disagreements between GHFL and individual dealers. A dealer would claim a product was registered and covered; GHFL's team had no fast way to confirm it. Multiply that across hundreds of dealers and two regions, and every unresolved dispute chipped away at trust with the dealer network, and cost GHFL time and money resolving each one case by case.
The obvious fix — just ask dealers to email confirmation when they register a product — doesn't solve anything. Email can be lost, backdated claims are hard to disprove, and there's still no single source of truth either side can point to.
The fix wasn't asking dealers to keep better records — it was making the system generate the record automatically, the moment registration happens.
Nanostuffs built E-Warranty so that when a dealer fills out the registration form, the portal generates the warranty directly, with a timestamp, against GHFL's live product and order data via SAP integration. That single design choice — auto-generation instead of manual confirmation — is what turns a dispute into a two-minute lookup instead of a drawn-out back-and-forth.
Before
- Warranty and registration requests handled by email and phone, with no shared record
- Disputes between GHFL and individual dealers over whether and when a product was registered
- Each dispute resolved manually, case by case, with no single source of truth
After
- Dealer fills a form on the portal; the platform generates the warranty directly, timestamped, against live SAP data — no manual matching
- E-Warranty live in production across North America and India on one shared model
- Disputes resolved by checking one documented record, not by re-litigating who said what
How we delivered it
A phased, region-by-region build.
Discovery
Mapped GHFL's dispute pattern with dealers back to its root cause — no timestamped record of registration — and designed around fixing that directly.
Design the audit trail
Built the core warranty and product data model so every registration auto-generates a timestamped record, tied to live SAP data.
North America live
Built and delivered E-Warranty for the North America dealer network, with a formal written go-live confirmation.
India live
Extended the same model to the India market, configured for regional needs, and delivered it live.
